In July 2017, the team from the Allure Dental Center, Drs. Suzanna Lee and Trinh Lee embarked on the journey of a lifetime as they set out to the impoverished provinces in the Southeast regions of Vietnam to participate in a missionary trip.
Drs. Suzanna Lee and Trinh Lee, along with a team consisting of medical doctors, dentists and University of California pre-med students from a non-profit organization called Medical Educational Missions & Outreach (MEMO) embarked on a two-week trip to provide free dental and medical care to the impoverished provinces in the country.
The five-hour bus ride took the team from Ho Chi Minh City on rough roads to reach their destinations. Make shift clinics were set up in local schools where the team worked on hundreds of old and young people who signed up for the free clinic.
The team from Allure Dental Center in Mountain View also visited an orphanage house in a suburban area of Ho Chi Minh City. The doctors and their families brought food, clothing and dental supplies to the orphans that are being raised in a temple by nuns.
Drs. Suzanna Lee and Trinh Lee thought their trip was memorable, heart-felt, and rewarding. They enjoyed meeting the poor and less fortunate, and were honored to help the extremely friendly, down to earth, and honest people in Vietnam.
